I discovered that now that I removed the dash cover over the instrument panel none of the "tell-tale" lights work. I checked the fuse blocks and found nothing wrong. Are there any fuses hidden under the dash cover? Or are there any "gotchas" where I may have moved and loosened up a ground or other connection". Thanks

If it's the original "ribbon lighting" system for the switches on the dashboard, it may have just died or disconnected. Many have replaced the original with the system that JimK sells.

If you just removed the upper dash cover, I don't think you would have disturbed any grounds or wiring. If it was the dash face, it is possible that the lighting ribbon was disconnected.

Hi Len,

No I am talking about the ones called Tel-tale, like the door is open or the radiator is low.

None of mine worked. 1 had a corroded socket. 2 had burned out bulbs. The remainder were missing the bulbs and twist lock sockets altogether. Don't know why. I replaced the missing/bad parts and it all works great now. Those 3/8" twist lock sockets were hard to find, but I ordered them off ebay.
