A few of us have been testing out this plug-in from Abine. Watch the
short video explaining what it does. Won't help for those "geographic"
constraints but it's nice to know you aren't totally exposed.

"Abine offers browser add-on that prevents Google, advertisers,
Facebook, and other marketing companies from tracking you online via a
free browser tool."

I really, really, doubt that this plugin will do anything more than give Google yet another data point to add to your internet profile.

It has been proven for example that people can be uniquely identified by their public browser settings, things like browser version OS, ISP, plugins...

You are a data point in Googles sales database. Get used to it!

I predict an uptic in ads for security software in your browsing...

Right now, we are seeing it actively blocking information going to
social networks, ad networks and tracking companies. Some are reporting
increased browsing speeds too. Just looking at stocks on
finance.yahoo.com, it blocked 2 ad networks and 3 tracking companies. In
the short time I've used it, 161 items have been blocked.

This does NOT stop you from being ID'd from your IP, etc. This is purely
a tracking blocker - watch the short video. While we all know TANSTAAFL,
the site admits to building a client list for future products and
add-ons. We'll keep testing and if it doesn't work out, I'll remove it.
I'll let you know if your prognostication becomes true.
