Hello,
what can i use to fill small holes in the Alum roof???.
I understand you can obtain Alum filler of some type....
My concerns are what happens if the filler is subject to hot sun ???. Would this cause any filler/primer to crack.
If so what is the solution to leaks ???
Thanks for any help on this topic.

cheers and beers

Hi, 3M 5200 would be my choice if it is a small screw hole. Anything bigger
cut a patch from some 22 gauge aluminum and then set it down with 5200 and
then shmear more 5200 over the patch. It like cream cheese consistency.
Scuff the surface of the roof with a little Scotchbrite to get the
oxidization off first.

Thanks

This may be what you are looking for. I have used it with good results. It does not shrink like bondo and is much harder.

You can probably find it locally.

I just use the "Quick Silver" metal epoxy from Wal-Mart or O'Reilly's. I was just patching screw holes. Been there 5 years and not a problem so far.
