I'm not sure if anyone used this product. But I think it will solve some of the heat issues coming in thru the windows. I bought the Koolaroo window coverings. They make a few different products. However the one I bought is the called Quik Shade. It comes with snaps to make a custom shaped window shade quickly that can come on/off easily.
I'm hoping it will cut the heat coming in from the rear window and the large side window.

LOL, I sure hope it will be cooler. Between the roof paint, wall/ceiling insulation, and tons of insulation under the front floor, rubber insulated outdoor carpet, and the Coolaroo I hope its not as hot inside!!!! My poor little kids faces were red the first time we drove it and since then I've worked and worked to start the process of getting it cooler.
The Coolaroo I bought at Lowes I think was 9'x4' or something. I can't remember the product is at my shop right now and I'm at home. It came in a really tall box, with the snaps. I haven't opened it yet. I think I'm going to use it for the back window and the side window. Then see what I have left over. If it works well then I'll do something else for the front window. The passenger windows are shaded when the awing is down for camping. And driving they don't get as much heat as the large rear and large side window.
The one I bought is the Quick Snap "optical fiberglass" I'm guessing that simply means you can see out of it! Cleaver marketing term. lol But Coolaroo makes others that you can't see out of and help more with heat. If it works well I'll put the non see thru on the front window when camping. I'm planning on seeing if I can use the see thru ones on the two windows I mentioned while driving to keep the interior cooler. I may put snaps both inside and outside and just use one piece and swap them back and forth. If I can ever figure out how to mount my stinking solar panels I can move on to getting a new ceiling made. I thought I had the solar mounting solved but I didn't like it when I laid it out, so its back to sq one and lately I've been going broke! lol I bought a portable macerater online on friday we well. If anyone wants to start a fund for me I'll gladly accept donations (JK!!!)

I tried to research the ones they made but haven't had any info yet. For $80 i figured I'd give it a go. The large windows have so much heat gain I'm certain they won't hurt! lol If they work well, I'll have Michaels GMC Custom Window Sun Blocker Covers for only $200 each.... JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

I have one of the CoolaRoos in the back yard over the Pic-A-Nic table. It is great for keeping the sun off and temps down.
They sell in various sizes and are easy to trim if you need a specific shape, like over the GMC windshields.
Pretty well constructed and will last in all weather.
Word of caution, if you are going to be in snow country, take it down. It is strong enough to hold the snow and will stretch out the line to the max.
I had one over the side windows in the summers sun and the heat difference was instant.... The only thing that would make it cooler would be if there were air circulation to let the heat disapate after the CoolaRoo stops it..

Awesome news. I bought it for the GMCs windows, but haven't even remotely been able to find time to cut it for the windows. But I soon will be!
