Was looking at the COOP site and noticed an odd right side ex. manifold. It looks like it has two pipes. One crossing under the pan. What was this for??? Just wondering. ,,,,,PL

Paul,

Looks like it came from a rwd vehicle -- see transmission tail in one photo -- so maybe just how the exhaust was routed on that car ??

Many vehicles of the day that used v8 engines and had single exhaust would route the one bank of exhaust to the other under the engine because they did not have room to cross over once the exhaust got under the car. The driveshaft, transmission, and low body made the route under the engine the most compact. Dual exhaust options did not have cross Overs (or connections) for the same reason. Today however, performance cars actually cross connect dual exhausts for better sound attenuation and exhaust flow.
Best regards
