Hi,
On Thursday Joanne and I are off on a 10 day jaunt with the coach to AZ. We have a friend with a house in Bouse (about 15 miles from Quartzite). She has 42 old tractors that she is dying to sell (actually her husband did the dying hence the 42 tractors). If anyone in Quartzite is interested in looking at them this coming Saturday give me a call either Thursday or Friday. 773-2340-6226. After Quartzite, leaving Sunday morning to lunch with some folks in Mesa, AZ (an old hockey buddy). Then off to see the Fergusons in Sierra Vista for two days. I just this afternoon roped Steve into letting me use his flat RV pad to set my ride height. Then off to Bisbee for a day then maybe Sedona if we get time. Home next Friday.

Also, we are planning to go to Speedweeks in Bonneville in August. If anyone is interested it might be a fun trip. I've been to El Mirage a couple of times but never Bonneville. Ideally I'd like to go to Bonneville then leave the coach in Reno and then come back for the Air Races in September. Does anyone have a line on a safe storage place in Reno where one might leave their coach for a month?

Also, how are the gas prices in AZ these days?

Thanks

Gary,

Go to www.gasbuddy.com for up to date gas prices anywhere. I used it to map out our recent trip to Lompoc, CA. You will find that Tucson has the lowest gas prices in the state, and Flagstaff has the highest. Gas is 30 to 50 cents lower in AZ than in CA. There is a place about 25 miles east of Quartzsite, on I-10, called Zip Travel Center, that has the best prices between the state line and Phoenix. If you have a Vons card, and have built up a discount, it is the same as Safeway in AZ. We also found a station (Pilot) in Palm Springs, that was about 20 cents per gallon cheaper than others in the area.

There are lots of cool places to go and things to see in the Tucson area as well. You are welcome to stay at our place for a few days too. We have room in the driveway next to our coach, 50 amp elec, and dump access (and water, of course). Also a guest room and bath. If you need suggestions, contact me any time.

Carl,
Thank you very much for the offer and we'll definitely connect on our next
trip. We are booked this time round. I recall seeing the Zip Travel Center
but never stopped there. We'll check it out.

Thanks

Susie and I are up for speedweek in August.
As for Reno.
Our grandsons Ethan and Nolan live in Fernley NV.
The boys grandmother Judy is the manger of a mobile home park in Fernley.
She has over flow parking
Fernley is east of Reno.
Howard
PS The guys are not home tonight.
I asked Ethan to call me back ASAP that may be a day or two.
Its ski session
If you are 21 and 22 you are not home much

Sounds good, Gary.

There is a Valero at the same exit as Zip (Vicksburg Road) that matches their gas price. Zip has a designated RV island and a big lot. Valero looks to have good access too, but I have never stopped there. There is also a Costo in NW Tucson, just off the Orange Grove Road exit from I-10. they are usually quite busy any time after 9:00 AM.

Enjoy your trip.

The new CostCo just off Ajo Rd has the lowest prices in the US right now.
Easy in, easy out.
