I think this system should be alone away from the air bags for they could blow them in a pinch. I do not have time right now to

building but i want this system on my new home with the ability to do the wheels as well for flats. even a jack would would be good.

Rob,
Intrigued about the idea, I spend a few hours digging around the US Patent
Office archives, looking for information about it, but did not find a single
patent relating to it, not saying there isn't one, just that after digging
through perhaps 30-40 patents, I saw no indication of one - either directly
or as a patent of improvement on the original that was issued to someone
else.

no - it is hard to find any info.
just talking about it with him. It takes very little water with the airpressure. put in dymaxion bathroom.
It is just over 200 psi before it works. this is the main thing with water sucked into it with a trigger.
He talks about it here some where. conversationswithbucky
he was very interested in wind generated air pressure as well. convert compressed air into work of many kinds.
this is 42 hours in the last few hours of his talk he mentions the fog gun some where there as well.

I was talking with bucky i worked with him for 16 years. Audio archivist of his lectures, i bought his home from him in carbondale, on forest and cherry street and lived in it, then sold it to be made into a park to bill perk back in carbondale.
I worked in his office with him in carbondale, traveled around the world with him. We around the world in 1972 - worked with him making recordings.
Went to at least 100 lectures with him i would say in usa and meetings in carbondale office, SIU, from Maine to San fran to texas to many schools all over the country over 16 years. I paid my own way and was a land lord to students had 18 houses at the time rented them to students then had a divorce lost 9 of them, sold the rest started a bucky fulller rock band to unite the world then sold them all moved to L.A. started a bus company to disneyland still doing this. Have done 400,000 persons in 24 years, am selling the business now it has very rare contracts with LAX and disney hotels, it is very valuable but i have blown all my money all the time on things that i like to do, but still breaking even. Want to sell my licenses to LAX now for 1.5 million for 22 vehicles i only use 4 now, but if someone has deep pockets they could expand it for they are putting in a 4 billion dollar terminal in LAX and this makes it very valuable i al seiling it for i want to make movies now. I t
alked with bucky about the fog gun and about anything for many years. I worked with him on many designs together as we would fly on the same plane next to each other, as well as at airports, and when i was with him for lectures. We worked very personal together. This was from 1967 - 8 to Mount Holly oak when his grandson took over my spot. I then got out of the way some what. he died in 1983 i think it was at 87. I had a surprise interview - here it is. I could have done better for i did not get time to think very long about it. here it is. one of them .

some of his books were made from the recordings as help. I talked with him a lot. I have also communicated with joe over the years to communicate with him just email the list manager that is him. Here is his last email that i have. He may have more info on the fog gun i will share this email with him above. He worked in Fuller's office and is one of the greatest Fuller human beings so to speak on earth. Knows more than most anyone else on earth in my opinion which is saying a lot. Very high integrity in my mind a great mind and student of Fuller as well as his own ideas. His site is the best in the world concerning fuller and is not in for the money of education, he does it for the love of the truth. He started this before the BFI did. They seem to want to make money from it and he does it for the truth and helping the integrity of bucky to be shared. Very big man in the fuller world.
I have the greatest respect for his designs.

In my mind i would be interested and trade not the generator but a couch for it. ( high pressure tank and compressor) That is what i need to know
is what size tank and compressor would be needed. Like i stated 3 or 4 scuba tanks at 3Kpsi and a small
scuba compressor is small this could work. 110 volt scuba pump. That is what i was thinking under the rear
frame or a cng tank or two under that hold 3.6 k psi. I would like this idea i think. m. Could use it to dive here as well.
you could run regular hose around the area of the frame here and there, not hard. It is not really a hard design to image being done.
stack 4 tanks in the closet area etc. could fill them at a scuba shop every once a week or so for showers with out a compressor.. I have
a few tanks already, they have shop cleaner tools now with a small hose attached to clean stuff it would work. there are other ideas. here is one.
storage pressure only, need a 220 max valve some how so you don't blow your balls off. this would be good for a toilet as well under the seat
to blow your ass clean. after defication. any way lets not go there now. it could blow down as well for cleaning any way. here are some ideas. there
is a lot already there to work with, the steam gun was most likely done by someone that had read about it with fuller. it has promise.

this is more like it. use only one scuba tank stand in shower next to you or take it out side etc.
go diving, good for fire under the bed to use to breath, could use to blow out fires at the motor at 1000 psi with a mixing bottle
of foam, just as mixing bottle with shower and soap etc. use to take off tires jack up the GMC
with air jack. Can use regular air pressure hose run all over the GMC, interesting Dr. Watson. Regards mickey :-)

the scuba is $1400, i have seen them as low as$ 800 for scuba tanks 1200 psi, i dive too so it is not so bad an investment, my friend has one
on his boat he got for $800 he cleans bottoms of boats in marina del rey. filling them at a shop is cheap as well there are other
ways to skin a cat. your welcome m.

If my memory is correct I recall once reading about this device quite a few years ago. It was described as something like the effect that Nordic fishermen experienced when sailing in very foggy conditions. So I just wonder with such a small amount of water (i.e. low thermal mass) and the expansion of highly compressed air used as a propellant would this be the ultimate cold shower?

A lot of great ideas here thinking out of the box, but the thought of using the GMC compressor to provide the necessary on average volume of (9.18 scfm) and pressure (110 + psig) for the items listed below just is not going to happen. You would need a 2 to 3 hp compressor with at least a 20 gal tank to hold that volume and pressure steady. The GMC compressor just doesn't have the volume capacity that would be required. Remember it takes several minutes or more just to pump up the air bags and shut off. Even the Viair 450 compressors cannot even approach the needed volume requirements.

Very good point. The time to take a fog shower could take bursts of 30 seconds at a time with a few minutes between use.
My psi to 120 is pretty fast according to John whom checked it out. A holding tank in the pod could be the answer that is used
for tire filling storage. Any ideas out there from anyone on the volume to hold the amount of time use.

You could trade off compressor size (and duty cycle) for storage tank size.
So just a quick ROM analysis. All calculations are subject to review.
If I converted correctly, the device shown at Mickey's second link specified 68.64 gpm (9.18 scfm) of air at 72.5 psi (5 MPa) .
Here's a chart showing compressed air volume. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/free-compressed-air-d_1190.html
At 120 psi the ratio of compressed air to free air is 9/1.
At 72.5 psi the compression ratio is 6/1.
So a 10 gallon tank at 120 psi could supply ~30 gallons of air before pressure dropped below 72.5 psi.
That's roughly a 30 second shower so a 20 gallon tank would be a 60 second shower.
For longer showers you might want to have an open window nearby to vent the increased cabin air volume.
