Mickey,
If you get emails from the GMCnet (gmclist@temp.gmcnet.org) to start a new message you:
1) Open / Create / Start a new message in whatever email program you use.
2) Make sure it is a PLAIN TEXT message, NOT HTML / NOT RICH TEXT!
3) Put gmclist@temp.gmcnet.org in the To: field
4) Put whatever the subject is in the Subject: field
5) Type up your message in the body
6) Hit send
If you use the GMC Forum (http://gmc.mybirdfeeder.net/GMCforum)
1) Click on Login in the upper right hand corner
2) A window will open asking you to for your Login and Password
3) Fill in those fields and click on Login in the lower right hand corner
4) Click on GMCnet once you are logged in
5) Click on New Topic in the upper right hand corner
6) A new window will open which is titled Post Form in the upper left hand corner
7) The curser will be in a field titled "Title"
8) Fill in what your Subject is
9) Under that is a field called: Topic Description - if you like you can add additional details, however, it's not necessary
10) Place the curser in the Body and type your message
11) When you're done click on Preview Message if you want to check and see what you wrote is what you'll send.
12) When you're done click on Create Topic to send
If you're logged in across the top of the page in Home you'll see this line:
Private Messaging Members Search Help Control Panel Logout [Your Login] Home
Click on Control Panel as there's lots of options to set.
You'll also see - GMC Swapmeet and GMC Sandbox, with a description of what they're for.
Regards,
Rob M.
PS - Hopefully I've got this all right!
