Has anyone relocated and reversed the passenger wiper such that it mirrors what the driver wiper does? I think it would give better visibility to the passenger instead of looking through the great unwiped area of the windshield. TIA!

Forget about the wipers.... I'm drooling over the lifts. Methinks that's better than a pit.

Wow. Are those of Aussie manufacture?

this works without wipers, it just slides off, good for boats and car windshields. to a point. 'Rain-x" wipe it on and the rain rolls off well.

Nope

More importantly the Roads and Traffic Administration of New South Wales approved it.

Dolph,

Yes and no depending on what you want to do.

I ga-ron-tee that a pit is a damn site (or is it sight?) cheaper as these were $25,000 AUD - USED! The rams are long acme screws.

Which compares to what they cost new in the USA; see eBay 370557533292.

Over there you can buy a Bend Pack drive on lift that will handle the GMC for around $4500 - $5000 delivered.

http://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/four-post-lifts/HDS-14X.aspx

Sure it's a lot for one guy but you get a bunch of guys together and it's a piece of cake!

Obviously there would have to be some arrangements as to how "lift hours" get allocated before it was purchased or it could get
messy!

There's always Craigslist too!

Regards,
Rob M.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. Is it tough to do? Other than
location, does anything need to be done to the motor?

Thanks!

As it happens, Ron Tase and I talked about that briefly a couple of weeks
ago at Lazy Days. We did it quietly, well away from HER, because every
time SHE's reminded of it, I have to listen to another Demand for
Modification. PLEASE don't anyone ever mention the idea within HER hearing!

At the original passenger's wiper pivot location, he installed a fabricated
bell crank to reverse the motion of the linkage motion to the pivot
relocated to the right of the windshield. He found a link to go between
the two in a junk yard and cut/welded it to the correct length. There's
really little more load on the motor so it did not require modification.

He and I both have been asked repeatedly to offer a kit for the mod. I've
refused to even do my own; he, having done it, refuses from experience. My
fear, for myself and any potential customers, is that the hole in the
fiberglass would turn out to be in the wrong location. I'd sure hate to
have folks saying "That big ol' hole in my coach is because Henderson's
template was wrong". It WOULD happen.

Dan,

I bought it that way so I don't know how tough it is to do.

I can tell you that the hydraulic WW motor has to have a second arm welded to it to drive the one that was moved and a "shaft" that
clears all the stuff under the hood over to the other side.

I'll look through my pictures and see what I can find.

Regards,
Rob M.

Ah, so like Ken's response, the motor wasn't moved, just another pivot
point created where the wiper will be relocated.

I appreciate anything you can find.

To go one step farther, give her a separate wiper motor too. That way
she could turn it off and on at her leisure/panic as the need arises.
I have wanted to do that for a long time. Also there is a GMCer up in
Canada that doesn't even have wipers at all. A true believer in
