Hi Jim,
I sure do agree that any time a GMC is jacked up, front or rear, one must drive the coach for several miles before the suspension settles into the ride height it will take driving down the road. From my experience, there is no substitute for measuring current ride height at all four corners, make what you think will be the correction required only on the rear and drive the coach. Iterate until the rear is correct after a few mile drive. Only after the rear is correct can you successfully start on the front. Do not attempt to adjust the front unless you are really comfortable safely raising and supporting the coach both front and rear. Use the proper unloading tool and make no more than a two to four turn change in the adjusters. Drop the coach and drive it again. When you return, measure the rear on both sides. If that is correct, then measure, safely block the coach and make another small change. Iterate until everything is correct when you return from your few mile
drive.
Now you can measure and adjust alignment on all six wheels.
It sounds like a fussy job, and it is, but you only need to do it right once and your coach will drive like new unless the front end components are worn out. Is they are, replace it with a one ton II conversion.
