Has anyone ever thought about using the snap-together "rubber" tiles made for garage floors in the "house" part of a GMC? They look like they are non-slip and would stand up to sand, dirt, dust and spills.
I got the idea while reading the thread on garage floor paint and watching a segment on a DIY show where they were installing floor that looked a lot like rubber jigsaw puzzle pieces.
Anyway, that flooring might also quiet the ride. It might even work in the cockpit.
Has it been done before?

Sounds like an interesting idea.

One could also easily replace damaged sections.

What thickness options are there? And pricing?

My sister has some that she uses for other things - if they get wet
underneath, it will almost never dry unless you remove them from the area
( and liquid can wick from one to another ).

Yes, Jim Bounds did a coach with a snap together flexible floor product.
I an considering various types for my coach. Lowes offers a special order tile that snaps together -- but the seams are hidden so it looks like slate tile. Costco had a garage tile that was made from old tires.

A couple of sites with some specs...

That's a negative "feature". I guess anything that doesn't have a layer of adhesive under it to prevent the wicking will do that (even floating floors and carpet squares).

using the product made out of old tires may make your coach smell like a tire shop lobby on a hot day. Not a terrible smell, but something you want in your coach?

The fake wood floating snap together floors are nice. JWID.

Another good point. My wife has a new purse that radiates the typical plastic smell, except on a larger scale than anything that size I have known. I don't like that smell. OTOH, I rode home with 6 new Michelins in my station wagon Tuesday. And at about $115 each, it smelled like victory.

I do not have any problem removing a number of the smaller and lighter
carpet tiles but would be more inclined to just leave the large heavy rubber
tiles in place, inviting rot. Even when if I do remove the large/bulky
rubber tiles it comes down to where I am going to stack them as they like to
flop around - with the smaller less bulky carpet tiles I can just lean them
up against a convent surface.
