When your computer can't see the router well these work SUPER. Plug it in to the USB and watch your signal strength go up to your wifi router.

I made one but it was much more then $10. A wireless card, and a directional amplified antenna soldered to it. Worked SUPER well. If theres a free wifi signal nearby it can really suck it in!

This is a reliable supplier.

I have ordered a number of items from them.
Sometimes they are slow to ship, but otherwise
excellent to me.

Be really careful with this one. There are several knock-offs of the Alfa out there and it is any ones guess on how well or poorly they will work.

These are all made in the same place off-shore and use the same drivers.
The only difference is the name silkscreened on the plastic.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to buying American to save American
jobs? (OK, let's not go there.)
