I have been towing my Wrangler. In the old days I towed a Sammy. I would LOVE to find a Sammy that is not all boogered up (raised, etc). I bought my Wrangler new so I know it pretty well.

The Wrangler is about 3,100# out of the factory, the Sammy about 2,000#. The variations of the Sammy creep up a few hundred pounds more. I figure a half ton LESS towing weight would make a big difference. I also am convinced that we pay a price for towing, structurally and mechanically.

I saw a Chevy Metro at the Lowes parking lot last night. I googled them and the hatchback weighs 1,859#. Anyone have any experience with towing them? Any mods or special procedures (stopping every 200 miles like with the Sammy).

Still want another Sammy, just to get the 4wd.
