Thanks Mark. I'm glad you came up with the concept. I had been looking at options to replace my factory bags while I was restoring the rest of the coach and was dismayed at the cost of some systems or the lack of oem like performance of the less expensive ideas.
The other benefit of this new system for me was how it exposed the accelerated wear in my bogie pins and bushings. While tinkering around I noticed the slop in the forward facing arms. If I had waited on the bags the pin wear would have surprised me later.
One of the coolest features of this system is that all of those with at least one replaced functioning oem bag now have a direct drop in spare. The stock bag when compressed and capped takes up very little space. Peace of mind without losing a big piece of cash.
