Not if Verizon's offering it for free as a Dixielander told me today --
'tho' I think they do require a 2 yr. contract, which could make that a
bargain for someone like you. :-)

Ken,

I already have one of their USB modems with no contract, I turn it on when I arrive and turn it off when I leave; costs me $60 per
month.

I've found that every year I return the technology improves and the cost goes down!
