I have never been to a rally and know there is one coming up in my town. Anyone tell me what to expect? And anything I should know before I go? Also what website has the rally info???

As a minimum, expect good food, good fellowship, and good ideas for
improving your GMC.

Michael,

The GMC Saguaro Jetset web site is here: http://www.gmcsj.com/

Unfortunately, it won't do you much good to look at it just yet as the rally info and registration forms are not on it.

We're working on it. In the mean time, do as Steve suggests and contact Marie.

The Casa Grande rally is a little bit different than most of our rallies in that it is at the fairgrounds. They set up temporary electrical and water hook-ups only, and have an on-site dump station. I would suggest coming to the rally with an empty holding tank and a full water tank, just like you would if you were dry camping. There will be plenty of things to do there, including the Bluegrass Festival, a car show, a tractor pull, and numerous merchandise and food vendors. The club typically tries to set up in an area, together and usually has some sorts of breakfasts, and maybe a pot luck. That info will be posted on the website, hopefully soon.

Thx for the info. It sounds fun. I think my wife and I may go and check it out. We only live about 10 mins away and have never gone. Alls we ever do is go dry camping so I'll be all set there. Maybe I'll bring my car for the show. Its not 100% done (even though I can nearly finish it if I can drum up a little spare time). Good thing is if we forget something home is just a short drive away! lol We have never been to anything like a rally so it will be neat I think to at least attend something that is so nearby. Do other RVs show up there as well?

Yeah, Lots of other RVs. The 'East Side Elks' group, from Tucson, is usually there as well as other groups and individuals.

Steve F. will most likely bring his fire pit and a nice supply of fire wood, along with his guitar. Jim D. will probably bring his guitar and participate in the 'sing along' too. makes for a fun time.

You might want to check into it, but I think you need to register ahead of time to exhibit a car in the car show.

At most rallies, you will need to supply your own lunch, so take
something simple to lunch on.
Take a name tag if you have one from a club.
Most important , be yourself and you'll have a great time meeting
people and discussing GMC and other topics.
Oh! Take a large cup to fill your favorite beverage at 5 o'clock Happy Hour.

Darn car show link won't work. I plan on bringing a car. Nance will drive
my truck with the trailer full of firewood and a firepit.

Steve,

Check your download folder. The "Car Show" link downloads a PDF. It is so small a file, if you blink you'll miss it downloading.

Details of the Casa Grande rally are now on the web site. The software to register for the event quit working so there are instructions to mail a check to our rally hosts. There is also a list of the following 3 rallies for this season without registration info yet. We are working on it.
