Also here are the particulars
1976 Palm Beach
I have owned it for three years and on the last trip it started to have less power than usual and was burning a ton of oil.
That is when I decided it was time to tear the motor down and rebuild.
I usually drive up to Tahoe in July so I need to get things going.
Has anyone done direct injection using the Rockwell intake?
That is also something I am going to do on this rebuild.
Smog is the only hic up though.
Also planning on putting in positraction.
I have done engine rebuilds and replacements on other cares but I must admit that this is not as straight forward

Cameron, you can't do direct injection with any intake. Direct injection goes directly into the combustion chamber and requires a total system approach that just isn't feasible on the 455/403. If you are thinking port injection, now that's a different story and definitely is possible.
