I think I will build without the fire power, Not much need for that up in Canada, Well could be handy to clear traffic,
Very interested in powered actuaters though, To run a split back door,
Split half way down with the bottom dropping with a lower hinge point at the bottom of a flat frame as opposed the stock rear frame that heads upwards, If it drop from the lowest spot will it decrease the angle and allow a flat floor all the way to the back wall, With horizontal actuaters laying flat on each side as well two more to lift the upper door, In my head it seems easy to design and build, So we will see, Start this one in Febuary after the unit is closed in and towable.

Sully;
I used a linear actuator that I found in the net.
The one I found was a 24 volt as it was cheaper then the 12 volt.
Works just fine with 12 volts
It has a 12" travel.
Built my own switch for changing the voltage from + to - and back - to +
moving the bed up and down.

Not quite stock
PS I also used the some ones on a 48 Chevy Convertible that I built.

Sully,

Randy Johnson's 23' Mini Hauler that I sent links to pictures of has that in it. When he has the Mini in it the bed is raised, when
he pulls it out it gets lowered.

Regards,
Rob M.
