This tool will do the job, it was made for the K3500 GM trucks. It has a 3/4" bolt with 1" hex head for socket wrench. It is slightly offset to help with more clearance. You can get these at Summit Racing, O,Reillys or watch Amazon or Ebay for some specials. I fabricated a extra support piece for the top of the cross member to spread the load out on the cross member. I will post a pic of that later.

Suspension Max has one that is patented, it seems to be identical ,but
with a nut head incorperated on the tool to allow a closed end wrench
to keep the unit from pivoting.
We have that one on our site and the price is good and made here in the USA.
