Well I took the advise of the forum. While I started to remove today my battery tray to install the 3 battery tray, I also sent my oil cooler hoses to get rebuilt at a industrial hose repair place.
Anything I should be looking for while they are off? I'm picking the rebuilt hoses back up in the AM to reinstall them tomorrow. Someone mentioned a gasket that I may want to change but don't know much about it.

There is an O-ring between the adapter the hoses connect to and the adapter that bolts to the block. The o-ring is the same size as a "common" oil filter. (I understand some filters do have a different sized o-rings.) Some have recommended changing the o-ring every other (or every third) oil change. I haven't and haven't had any problems... yet. (Maybe I'll do it this time.)

There is also a GASKET where the adapter bolts to the block. If it isn't leaking I wouldn't change it.

So I unscrew the oil filter and take off that plate that the oil filter screws to, behind it is the "O" ring that I can use a gasket off of my oil filter (if it has one)?

You may or may not be able to use the gasket from the old oil filter. Gaskets from a the Purolator filter will not work...I've tried them. I usually buy a couple of cheap Fram filters just for the gasket. Fram gaskets work perfect. So, some filter gaskets may work...others may not. Also, on all of my oil changes for all of my vehicles, I usually smear a lite coat of motor oil on the filter gasket. On the motorhome, when I did that to the oil cooler adaptor gasket, the next time I took it apart, I found that the gasket appeared damaged in one spot, and often I would find a minor leak there. For a long time I could not figure out why it was doing that. Then one rally, I got to talking with Bob Drews about the problem. He asked if I smeared oil on the gasket before installing....I proudly said "YES!!". He said, don't do that to that gasket. When you smear oil on the filter gasket, you spin it on, so the oil helps it slide to a good seal. For the Oil Cooler Adaptor, you are not spinning it, it bolts straight on...no spin. I stopped using a oil smear on that gasket and the damage to the gasket, and occasional leak stopped happening. JFWIW

No, Michael. You take a new oil filter, and remove the rubber gasket that
makes the seal between the filter body and the oil cooler adapter. Having
that 'O" ring in hand, you take the oil filter adapter off of the oil
filter base that is permanently mounted with 3 bolts to the engine block.
Between the permanently mounted base, and the oil cooler adapter is an "O"
ring similar to the shape and size of the one that you harvested from the
filter. Replace the used gasket with the new one, screw the threaded sleeve
back through the oil cooler adapter into the oil filter base, and then you
have a new gasket on both surfaces. Should suffice for many moons.

This photo shoot should give you most all of the information on the lines and gaskets you need.

I think I may do that next oil change since I just changed it about 3 weeks ago. But I will!

Today I replaced the oil cooler lines with fresh parker ones. The hose shop brazed the adaptors so I can unscrew and screw on my new hoses easily is they ever fail. I think I'm using the correct terms. They used some really heavy grade parker hose something about they have extra wire or something inside them. Anyway, he said if I ever change them again it will be cheaper they way they did it now.

While my motorhome was up in the air and the hoses where replaced I almost got done installing my ragusa battery tray. I wanted to keep my old tray under it (long story) So I was grinding away metal most of the day to make it work. I had to grind the ragusa tray a bit as well where the starter battery goes. Since I use a group battery bigger then the spot they allowed for. It didn't need much but I feel much better now. Fridaty I hope to have for the first time (2) 6V Interstates operational for the coach! I'm excited since always using a starting battery, the (2) 6V will be a cool upgrade.
