Agreed Gene. I would have some cheap,small analog basics (fuel level,oil psi,water temp) behind a panel face that could be popped off in case of a computer crash or whatever. Not like the laptop controls anything it just displays it. worst come to worst I could make it anywhere with that info and a gps

Reminds me last year I got a call from a GMCer. His digipanel was having a fit on the road. About oil pressure. I said trust your analog gauge. He did went on home. And fixed the digital one later
