I have never posted any pics of my GMC so this is a first. I'm really not sure how to do it. I signed up for the gmc photos, so I guess you just add a link. Again this is a experiment. I'm not sure if I need to supply a link to each pic or just one. So I'm trying it out to learn, plus post a few pics.

I didn't get any good pics of the back of the coach, but the table turns into a bed. I bought a mount I'm going to put the table between the front seats when I don't want it in the back.
I did a lot of the interior work, and engine work, and everything else myself. This is my first RV. I knew nothing about motorhomes except I loved the looks of a GMC after research. But I didn't know how to check a single thing and got taken for a lot of money. I used to be the worst of the worst mechanically. But as of the past 1.5 years I've started to try to do my own work, a lot of trial and a lot of error. Mainly out of disappointment for mechanics and pros taking my money and never going the job the way I want. I ask a lot of questions and really appreciate help. I have a learning disorder so sometimes my questions seem never ending but I just keep asking.
A lot of things if I had to do it again I may do different. But I've learned a lot more about things a long the way.
I downloaded the pics as small. So now I know next time I think I can pick a bigger size.
The GMC has been the worst project of my life, and the best at the same time. Its only part of the way there. There is a mile long list of things I have planned either in the short term, and long term. But I'll keep pluggin a long!

Michael, ....so much of what you shared resonated so well within me. Thanks for sharing. While the United States Navy deemed I have/had a scientific and mechanical aptitude in the top 1% of our nation, I am the worst of mechanics and spent far too much money trying to get 'Rocinante' road worthy. In spite of my IQ, I too have a learning disability and find it difficult to read the most simple instruction manual. I have since learned to trust my wife to do the reading for me and those of our GMC Brotherhood to help me learn to 'turn a wrench'. It has all been a great experience.
Thought to share some pictures of our 'up dated' ceiling. Wife and I did the work. Enjoy.

At one time, IIRC, Billy requested all photos be resized to 800x600. That
gives pretty good resolution & relatively small file sizes. Unfortunately,
I often forget to resize.
For resizing, I usually use XNView, which is an excellent file browser;
and, graphics viewer, editor, and manipulator. Get it free at

I'm just happy to have been able to post pics and share. Its a work in progress. I hope to keep taking some as I keep moving forward.
Thank you David for the kindness. Its really been a new experience for me. I've paid people forever to work on my stuff often disappointed with the results. I've restored a few cars over the years and again got ripped off. My GMC has giving me courage, and I have been restoring early 70s Mercedes Benz with awesome results. I've got a 71 Coupe thats 99.4% done just a few details left. And my 73 diesel is 75% done. Doing things myself have taught my a lot more about the specific vehicle, and with patience it often gets done better then a pro since I'm in no rush. There is some really awesome coaches on here. I'm honored to have such fine examples on here to mimic.
PS: AWESOME CEILING BTW, ITS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you Michael. Someone needs to open the window so I can throw out my chest in pride. I seem to be able to accomplish more accidentally then deliberately. I simply found a need and filled it. Didn't want to strip off all that old wallpaper. Your kind words, and those of others are sincerely appreciated.
Would love to see pictures of your old cars.
Happy trails,

Michael,
When I moved to the Memphis area about 7-8 years ago I had to sell my 1969
280S. Not a high dollar car, but it was near mint. I bought it from my
dentist back in 1976. It had 32K on the clock. I sold it to my neighbor
when I moved. It had 252,000 miles on it and near a major - or minor
breakdown as I recall. Did 99% of the maintenance myself. It never saw
snow and very little rain. Foul weather days were for the Audi diesel.
