Does any know what the approx. height of the GMC with A/C unit is? Need to make sure it would fit in garage. It has been raining here for three days and I really don't want to get up on that wet roof.

Thanks,

Joe

I have also have a '75 Palm Beach and it fits in my garage with a 10' door and has 5-6 inches to spare so Dolph is correct.

My coach, with the low profile AC unit (and a Sat Dish) measured an
exact 8'8". The folks who load the Jet Ferry from Yarmouth to Bar
Harbor didn't believe me and re measured it -still 8'8" I had nothing
else on my roof but the Penguin AC, Sat dish and 3 Fantastic fans

Depends on what kind of Air-conditioner. (Low profile or normal height.)

If it is close, You might get a few inches by lowering the rear suspension.

I have never measured but I have had 2 different gmcs both with ac and roof storage pods in a self serve car wash booth with a stated 9 ft. height limit and a "limbo board regulator/verifier" at the entrance. Both cleared with no problem.
It wasn't in Texas; so 9' may have really been 9'.

I have the standard size A/C's so I think 9' 6" is a safe number. Thanks for the info.

When we were in New York in 1983,I got in a wrong lane. There was a
tunnel and the clearance was less than 9'.
I lowered the rear suspension and somehow managed to get through.
The radio antenna was scraping hard and I thought I might scrape the cargo pod.

Speaking of antennas, mine looks like hell. Are there replacements available?

9' 6" is correct.  I had to find out for towing purposes a while back.
