As far as I know the bags are in plentiful supply and can be purchased on the internet as that is how I got mine. Don't know if I got a wholesale price or johnny off the street price. Ill check that tomorrow when I get to work. I also will look into cost of having the pieces run off. Cutting the plates and standoffs and boring the holes is the lions share of the time involved. Welding them together and painting (or powder coating) would be quick and easy. Oooh! Wouldn't chrome or nickel plating look cool???
I honestly think its easier to swap the bag then do a wheel swap. Those wheels are heavy and u need to be careful how you lift,support, etc.
I am planning on going to the Ferndale rally in early December as it is not to far from home. I'd like to bring a set of these and have someone there with the feel of the oem bags put them on and try them out as I have no ride baseline to work from. If the ride is comparable, I think it could be a great solution for someone who wanted to stay with original configuration. I think it looks pretty boss too.
Ill have some numbers for those who are interested on a kit this week

Here's another vote of interest.....
Our bags are OE configuration, holding air LK, but they are looking pretty ragged. Really like the fact you have nearly full travel and your comment about the ease of installation (that's a real biggy for those of us with a whole bunch of thumbs...)
Are the bags readily available if needed?
