Bruce, the most common cause of run on after the ignition is turned off
(and the engine is not overheated) is that the idle speed is set too high.
If you don't want to reduce the idle speed, then leave the coach in gear
with your foot on the brake, and then turn off the engine. If it still runs
on, recheck your tune up specs, and verify that your engine is still
correct according to the specs. Pay particular attention to ignition
timing, and idle speed. Be sure to disconnect the vacuum line from the
distributor, and plug the part that goes back to the engine with a golf tee
or similar object. Also verify that you do not have any other vacuum hoses
that leak. Last, and certainly not least, verify that your carb base gasket
is not leaking. I spray a little WD--40 around the carb base with the
engine running. If idle speed increases, you have a leaking gasket or a
warped carb throttle body.

Thanks everyone for you post.
Yes the idle is set high, probably a lot of carbon build up as well with a
little bit of blow-by as well. Now that I am home I will give it a tune-up.
