I have six radial 16.5" wheels that came off my 77 GMC.

I have tried to give them away in the past but two deals fell through
as no shows.

I hate to just throw them away but I am in the process of moving and
don't want to haul them with me.

If anyone wants them let me know in the next 7 days. I can store them
in my garage here in Santa Fe for a few weeks if someone needs time to
get them.

Hi Emery,

When I put Alcoas on my 77 Birch about 10 years ago I had my son do the install. He has a tire shop in Big Bear, here in So Cal. (Advertisement: "Gino's Tire & Automotive"), I gave him my old wheels and he was able to get rid of all of them over time without having to toss them in the dump. I think most of them went on GM trucks when someone needed one replaced. So you might offer them to a tire shop if no one wants them.

Gee Bob, thanks for telling us now about your son's tire shop. We go to Big
Bear with the coach all the time and I am in need of 2 new fronts. Does he
handle BFG T/As. Might as well give the business to someone we know.

Thanks,

Hi Gary,

What size are you running? I know he sells BFGs but will double check with him. I assume you have 16" Alcoa wheels so you are probably running 225/75R16E But I wanted to check with you first.

I'd also imagine that putting an ad in the Craigslist would find you someone as New Mexico does have quite a lot of old pickups running around, but maybe not enough old duallys.

Dropping them off at a tire shop may be a real option as you'd hate to see them end up being melted down when someone could use them. I've been trying to finish putting together a set of 7 16" steel wheels to use when I need to buy tires next time (also in time to retire the 16.5" ones), and it's not that easy to find the correct hub centered wheels around Chicagoland.

Hi Gary,

My son's name is Gino. He does carry the BFG T/As. The shop is not open on Sunday but you can call him on Monday. Here is his shop number 909-584-4678. Hope it works out.

Not trying to hijack a deal, but once I get new tires mounted on my 16" rims, I will be looking to dispose of the OEM 16.5" rims. That could be as early as Christmas.
I am in AL, so transportation to Knoxville, would not be that difficult.
