Without chains out can get very hairy but with chains it will pass everything on the road. Chain up early.

We once got in a snow storm on Sexton pass towing two 17' sailboats, chained up early and drove around several miles of stalled cars that had not chained up. We we're the only vehicle moving.

Subject: [GMCnet] How does the GMC handle in the snow
To: <gmclist@temp.gmcnet.org>

I have a trip from Michigan to Maryland for Thanksgiving. Wasn't thinking of snow until this past weekend when the Nor-Easter blew through and dumped 9 inches plus in Pennsylvania and New England.

Having never driven a GMC in snow and realizing the trip takes me through the mountains of PA and then down into MD, I better start decision making.

Does anyone have experience?

Recommendations: Take the GMC or drive two cars?

Thanks
