Maybe you can answer a question.
On the passenger side, under front hood, above the battery, mounted on the underside of floor.
I have some kind of connector box about 2" sq and 1" deep with a momentary, red push rod on the bottom. It has a large cable dropping down to positive side of battery (not the main positive cable). And then has another large cable leading off somewhere.

Any guess what that may be? Original or add on?

I have many, many great electrical add ons, and nary a label.
Missed the chance to drive this coach to a rally so someone could tell me what is what.

Doesn't sound OEM. Could it be some kind of circuit breaker?

Where is the other end connected?

It's connected to your house battery which is up front alongside your engine battery? If so I'd go with Mike. Sounds like a circuit breaker protecting the house battery. The red thingie is most likely a reset button.

Thanks guys. It doesn't look OEM to me either. Seems kind of strange to have a fairly large cable off of the engine battery to run something needing a breaker.

And thanks for starting a new thread. Didn't mean to hijack the cracked front end repair. Actually ment to mention this "circuit breaker" is right above that bracket that supports the front and my 76 has one on each side.
