If the APC harness has been added at the alternator to try and head off the wiring harness from getting hot should the repair with the diode and resistor still be done at the fuse block area. Is it a good ideal to do both. Thanks

no
there is no need to rewire the nichrome wire if there has been no dammage.

the OEM circuit is good and it does not have a problem.

THE NICHROME WIRE DOES NOT GET HOT IN NORMAL OPERATION

and the APC will stop any reverse voltage that could come from a faulty
alternator.

Why is it a good idea to do both????

Its not needed after you put in the APC kit.

Just thought of belt and suspenders when it comes to fire prevention if it would make any difference. As always I appreciate any info or suggestions. Nothing beats experience.
Thanks
