Don't know if this is related, but there are supposed to be two metal
support brackets from the fiberglass nose to the frame. They're just
inside each of the bottom corners of the front grill opening on both
our '73 and '75 coaches -- later years might have something different.
The brackets keep the nose structure from moving around so much.
On our '75, one bracket was missing. I made a replacement with a strap
of metal drilled on each end for bolt holes and then bent to fit.
