It has been previously reported that installing KYB shocks on a 73 coach can have interference problems. The top of the shock is dented by the control arm. Some have used washers to stand-off the shock while others have ground a relief on the arm.
I decided on the "grind a relief on the arm" method..
The control arms on my 73 have casting numbers 706864 and 706865 -- don't match my parts book, and the back side does not appear to have the ridge shown in photos by others. The control arm casting changed by 1975 -- were there three styles???
This photo and the three that follow show the casting number, the relief I created and the shock fitment.
The required relief varied somewhat by arm..

Just FYI -- in hopes of adding to the knowledge base.
