On my last trip from Oregon to the GMCWS and TI rally by way of Arizona, we stopped at a resort just north of Phoenix. (New River AZ)
I noticed a Royale under a shelter... It looked "interesting" and being lived in but looked like it hadn't been on the road for quite a bit.
Talking to the owner, Ed Larid, Seems this coach was his third GMC coach. He has had one for most of the time from the 70's. He brought out a stack of pictures. I recognized one of the coaches in the pictures and told him where I had seen pictures of it. As a non-Internet person he was very surprised. Not having any other method, I took pictures of his pictures. I have posted them in separate albums under a single album found here:

I also took some pictures of his current towd. Super charged and nitrous injected... looks like it has more power than his coach!
Ed tells me he used to be active in the Saguaro Jetset club and might get back into it. He also tels me he has a transmission built by Danny Dunn that was shipped to Arizona years ago and placed in storage. He says it has an early Toro final drive one it. He wants to sell it but needs to check on the status of it.
I would type more but need to get ready for work....
