I often see folks here recommending changing the fuel lines, for good reason.
A neglected one though seems to be the high pressure line on the power steering.
This is the one that runs under the coach between the power steering pump on the
front of the engine and the steering gear box at the bottom of the steering shaft.
It's got metal tubing with flare fittings on both ends and a rubber hose in the middle
attached with crimp fittings.

Ours blew out a week ago, and another coach had it let go on Treasure Island.
I don't think it's a coincidence. It's just old rubber under high pressure with
a limited life span. That time is pretty much up by now.

I strongly suggest anybody who still has the original change it out. If you
don't know it's been changed, change it. Either buy one from AppliedGMC:
http://www.appliedgmc.com/prod.itml/icOid/819
or take the whole thing to Napa Auto or a hydraulic shop and have them
change out the rubber part in the middle. I bet JimB has them too.

It's a pretty simple job (albeit somewhat messy), but not difficult when
you can do it on your own terms with drip pans and paper towels. The manual
gives the process for refilling, though we were able to do it without jacking
up the coach since that wasn't an option where we were stuck.

It can leave you stranded and, believe me, makes a huge nasty mess that
any property owner is going to be pretty angry about.

Been there, done that...
