Our old 2nd design water heater tank sprung a leak so we obtained a new stainless tank from Jim K. The old fiber glass insulation is in pretty bad condition. Any suggestions for replacement insulation other than more fiber glass?

Arch used 3' of 10" flex duct. See link below. I need to tackle this project as my hot water tank is also leaking.

Thanks Gene and Paul,

Picked up some good ideas with Arch's installation. I like the duct for insulation. I was able to get my heater out without getting to the back bolt, so didn't have to drill the wall. New tank is beautiful. Will be nice to have the engine heat working again.
