Talking to a guy in my showroom and as it always does we somehow get on the topic of GMC Motorhomes and it turns out he scraped one years ago (Tragic) But he offered me up 6 clean Alcoa rims for a very decent price!
Two for my new trailer project and two matching spares, One for my Coach which was until now a 16.5 and one for the trailer.
How some things just work out.
See what happens when you don,t talk about much else in life. Laughing

Don't want to poor cold water on your deal cause Alcoa's are nice! A score all by themselves if you got them for the right price.

But,(and I could be wrong) seems like I read here on the list that Alcoa was no longer making the wheels and can no longer replace the old wheels?

The REAL score would have been getting the TZE for the sadly departed GMC!

Well I guess it all depends on ones priorities. For me Alcoa's would be ahead of TZE #.

Does ALCOA still replace them (if they;re ones that are subject to recall)? Now THAT would be a real SCORE!!!

Jeez -

And I had to work at it for a year to find seven rusty and ugly steel wheels.

As you may remember, I got a full replacement set for mine a couple/three years ago. For some reason, I thought I read, ALCOA was no longer doing it.

Good news!

G'day,

I rang the number (800-242-9898) Steve Southwood noted in his update of 4/15/08 and it is still good. Unfortunately it was after
business hours. I'll call back tomorrow and ask Alcoa directly if the recall is still in effect.

Regards,
Rob M.
