We have wanted to, and have been trying to get to Great Lakers Rally for all of the two years we have been members. There have been several times that we had time open and had to choose and some of those choices turned out to be unfortunate.
My wife is still working, and it is a good thing - sort of....
She just had a schedule change. Now she will have to work later on Friday and most of the day Saturday. She is still less than full time.
So, to do the Great Lakers Rally at Holly, I would have to take the coach there Friday, and she would get there after dinner. She would have to be on the road before eight the next morning (breakfast with the group is set for more than an half hour later). It would be an hour and change from the campground to work in Northville. She could be back by late afternoon - maybe - and and would probably not be in the mood for a museum trip.
If anybody makes it there, please tell me how it went.
I think I am going to have to plan one or more -day and a half- coach tours for fall. I can pick her up at work when northbound, hold up some place decent for dinner and a sleep, and then drive a long loop Sunday. I'll try to run west in the morning, north in the midday and east in the afternoon into evening.
If this works, I may write about it.
Life is just what happens while you are making other plans.
