Kathy and I are heading to East Central Pennsylvania to visit relatives for about a week and a half. I asked her to coordinate our trip with the Hershey Car Show and Flea Market. We are planning to check out the festivities one of the days , while we are there. Her brother is also planning a trip to the Carlisle meet the week before, and I might tag along.

Is anyone from the list planning to be at either one, or both? I'm hoping to see some GMCs there.

Carl,

If you go to Carlisle, let me know. I have good friends there with flea
market spaces that can provide a place to rest and have a refreshing
beverage. You may want to rest with over 7,000 vendor spaces to peruse.
Our group has been going there since the first year - sometime last
century...

There is usually a Glacier three or four rows up from the main paved road.

Carl,

I will be at the Hershey Fall Meet Tuesday thru Saturday at site RCE-43 (red field near the old stadium). There usually are a number of GMC MHs at Hershey.

We will be at Hershey vendors spot ODA-17/19 in the Orange field, as usual.
Been at Hershey since stumbling on it in passing, cruising and leaf peeping
in Fall of around 1959. Joined AACA on the spot and made a lifelong friend
there then too.

Been there thru thick and thin [a regular knows what I mean there, some
years have been wet and muddy]
and wouldn't miss it.
It is one of life's pleasures.
At my age it may even beat sex.

Stop by if you can. We are behind the Giant Center, overlooking the
perimeter road and
the main entrance to the judging field. We are in the last row and last
aisle and love it there.

George DV and Joan

Awesome! We plan to spend the better part of the day, Thursday, the 6th at the Hershey meet. We will be staying with Kathy's sister in Jonestown (which has a wonderful KOA, by the way) and visiting with relatives in Lebanon County. Bill and George, we will definitely look you guys up. Looking forward to meeting you.

We just returned yesterday, from our airplane trip to Pennsylvania. While there, I had a chance to attend the Carlisle Auto swap meet, with Kathy's brother, and Kathy and I managed to get in a day of the AACA Meet at Hershey. There were three GMCs at Carlisle, and at least seven (that we saw) at Hershey. I'm sure we would have seen more if we had been able to cover the whole, huge event.

We also had the pleasure of meeting up with Bill Bryant and George DV, at Hershey. They are a couple of great guys and represent the GMC community really well. We managed to talk to a couple more of the coach owners and went through a couple of the coaches. One of the other owners was named George Stauffer, probably a distant relative despite the different spelling of the last name. Small world!

Thanks to Bill and George for taking the time to talk for a while. It was really nice to meet you in person.

I was looking at pictures on the HAMB. One has a GMC in it. It is part of the pictures here in post #6.

In the back ground behind in the "HOTROD HOEDOWN" picture.

A light colored (tan?) Late 73 or 74 coach. (Early windows with a drip rail.) Looks to be a 26 foot coach. (Two AC's)

That must have been one of the ones I missed. I didn't see that one. It looks a little rough from what I can see of it.
