NOTICE:
On October 1st, GEMRECS will give away the remainder of the GMC motorhome inventory with a few exceptions which will be offered for sale.
The inventory includes parts that could be sold but I need to sell the shop and to remove as much stuff as possible.
INCLUDED in the give away are TWO PARTS COACHES(74 & 77) with titles and usable parts like suspension components and a 455 engine. These need to be towed away, by arrangement.
There are drive axles, a 74 dash unit, several windows, a radiator and lots of other stuff(please do not call me for a listing as I don't have one).
I need to move fold-down dinettes and seats so please help, even if you are not in need, save for someone else or I will have to dispose of them.
Also, FOR SALE: a solid frame $750, a front frame section, $750, a 403 engine with accessories, $300.
A riding cooler, new, yes-one that holds cold drinks, 24v, w/charger, in the box, $150. Had lots of fun with the other one at Patterson, LA rally. Speed to 15mph.
GMC cushion set, light blue, western theme, full set includes the front seats and rear seats/bed, $300.
Large Pod, still on the GMC but indoors, $100.
Scooter, 50cc, new, never ridden, $300.

Receipts given, all sales final, BRING CASH, NO CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS. RV parking on site.......7330 Palestine, Houston, TX 77020. I-10 East of downtown, exit N. Wayside. South to exit BEFORE first bridge. Shop is partially under the bridge.
I will no longer sell used parts due in part to some heart issues. the heat and the work required. We are also hoping to move from Houston. Returning to California is still a hope, but not sure where we will wind up......Michael at GEMRECS

Steve,
Are you looking for the ORIGINAL type front seats? (The ones with the pop-up arm rests.) I happen to have some from 76 Palm Beach, a bit worn and faded but not torn up.
I am sure others have similar seats as many replace these "non- reclining" seats with something a bit more modern. But, if you are looking for stock type seats....
Most (like me) would give them to you. Shipping would be far more than they are worth. Were are you located? Maybe someone close to you can help you.
I was thinking of finding some swivel chair bases and making desk chairs out of the four of these seats I have. (2 palm beach green, 2 EL2 tan)
Mike,
Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you get "better."
I always liked your business model, collect up old unwanted coaches and use them to keep the rest of the coaches on the road. Located in the center of the country to reduce shipping costs and time... plus reducing the cost of a facility.
But, if your health will not support it....
Oh-well, you can only do what you can do... take care.

My overactive mind just came up with a far fetched idea regarding the GEMRECS name.
What if the business was turned into a group-run organization for the benefit of all GMC owners? The idea would be for anyone with a parts coach to provide a list of what is available to the group so that a master list could be compiled of all spares available across the continent. The selling price would be determined by the owner of the parts, with possibly a small percentage of the transaction going to the group to cover operating costs This would require volunteers to keep track of all the parts and their locations, but the end result is a larger list of available parts for us to pick from.
There are some of us who are likely willing to invest a few dollars to rescue a parts coach from the crushers, but don't have any place to keep them. There are others who have the place to keep an extra coach or two, but don't have the funds to tie up in those gems. There are potentially quite a few that are just willing to offer some time to pull and ship parts to help others in need. Now imagine if we could put all this together!!
As I said, my over-active mind got carried away again!
