modellas or summit for parts???
also, opinion, saw horse above engine, strap to alternator bracket on driver side, and strap to ac mounting bracket, 1500 lb straps, does this sound doable or crazy

Brian,
I can not answer your first question.
As to the second, to do the timing chain, you will have to free up both the Alternator and the AC compressor. If, after they are freed up enough to get belts off there is still something your can count on staying put, then the plan is very workable.
We are talking about ratchet load straps in good condition. Remember that the HF straps are very slippery. do not count on them staying where you put them if there is a way they can escape.
