We have arranged to have a local glass company available to replace GMC windshields during the GMCMI rally on Saturday September 10, and Sunday September 11th. The company owner / installer is a friend of mine who has been in the truck, bus, and RV glass business for 29 years and has done many, many GMCs before. There is no question on the quality of his work.

It took a lot of convincing by me to get him to give up his weekend to do this, but he finally relented. He agreed to do 6 complete coaches (12 windshields) across the two days. Three of those slots are already taken so there are 3 slots left.

If you are interested please contact me or Ray Swartzendruber for a reservation and pricing. I'm not mentioning the price here to keep from causing problems with our normal GMC suppliers.

The cut off time to notify us is Friday at 2 PM. or when we fill the remaining 3 slots. So the earlier you confirm the better your chances of getting one of the slots. I'll take the requests int he order received.

We had to set that early cut off time on Friday because the glass warehouse is not open on the weekends. I have to go pick up the required quantity of windshields on Friday during the day.

This is a first come first served offering.

If you want a confirmed spot please email me or Ray S. today with the following:

1. Name (that you want on the invoice)
2. Address
3. Phone number (this should be your cell number if you will have it at the GMCMI rally).
4. Your TZE is needed if you want that to appear on your receipt.

I'll be leaving here on Labor day so to contact with me after that will need to initially use email. I'll give you my cell phone number by return email if necessary. I will not publish my cell number on the net. My daughter will be here at home while we are gone but she knows nothing about this program. So do not call my house after Monday about this.

Ken, good service, thanks. I am surprised you got him to do it over the weekend. What did you promise him?

Actually I asked him on three different occasions over the last three months and he refused. Saturday, the install date, is his wedding anniversary so his wife also said no.

Then I told him you were serving ice cream Saturday night at the rally. He changed his mind and brought Paul along with him to do the work during the day.

That is all it took.

Oh great. I may end up having to buy them ice cream if I can't talk Kim into letting me get them some. Emery, you and Ken stay close as I may need your help.

Hitting the road at 5 am, if I don't oversleep, in the morning.

Ken,

In light of this I would suggest that whoever gets their windshields installed by your Mate contribute towards a gift certificate at
one of the restaurants near where he lives. I'll bet his missus will be impressed!

If you get six people it's less than $20 a piece!

Regards,
Rob M.
