This is a new post of an old thread regarding the availability of a new radiator other than a custom aluminum one. I finally got around to pulling my rad out of my 77 Royale and had Performance Radiator pick it up yesterday. I received a call from a tech there today explaining to me what many on this forum have already stated that the radiator is obsolete. The tech there told me he could re-core mine with the original brass for about $800. After checking my shorts I told him that I could get a custom aluminum one for under $500. He said that the brass ones are far better, and will out last the aluminum ones at least two to one due to corrosion of the aluminum especially in a motorhome that spends large chunks of time sitting. I have seen many posts where ya-all have mentioned your aluminum radiators. Any testimonials about longevity expectations? Is this guys "16 years in the radiator buisiness and i would not put an aluminum radiator in anything I own" remark valid???
