I am having a hard time finding an original size roof top storage pod.
Does anyone have a source or an alternative that they like?

Thanks

Bob,
If your serious, we can get you a new one, but when we tell you the
price your going to back down.
There are used ones, but they are rather brittle.

Do you sell used ones? There might be a way to reinforce them to not be so brittle.

"Original size"? I thought all the storage pods were aftermarket.

Your correct, the pods did not come from the factory.

And I will have a brittle one with a crack or two coming off the top of our coach. The owner of our coach has decreed that it must come off and the AC's replaced with low profile. She wants a low sleek look. I want it for a place to store spares. She says no need, as we have traveled for 3 weeks two up on a MC that she will be able to get everything we need inside. (So far their has been no discussion of the definition of the term "need")

No firm decision on the ladder just yet.

Steve,

It is amazing how much MORE stuff you "need" when you transition from a motorcycle to a motorhome!

You can't get Pods Downunder, they just don't exist (except on an imported RV) so an aluminum box (like the ones in the back of
pickups) made out of flat aluminum sheeting (NOT Diamond Plate) that goes in between the front and rear roof air is all we can have.
It will be the same width and height as the Dometic A/C low profile units; it should look OK.

Regards,
Rob M.

I removed our pod, roof rack, ladder and went to the low profile look too, with
one low profile Carrier A/C unit.

The main reason I removed the pod......slipping and falling off the roof is the
last thing I need to do. Plus, we normally tow the Harley trailer with the
Harley and 13 TONS of other crap in it ! LOL

I've been told that what I need will fit. I'm going to hold her to that. However she has been sizing up the back of the toad for storage capacity.

Yep - LL became even more convinced she wanted the clean low look after she saw the pictures of your newly painted coach. Therefore I suppose it's your fault. (Rather than Dan's fault) <GRIN>
