Matt,
You are looking for the wrong wheels. The 16 inch steel wheels that fit
GMC motorhomes came on 1988 and older GM dually pickups, vans and buses.
The ones used on later model dually vehicles won't fit.
The correct wheels are fairly common in the pick and pull yards around
here. Last time I priced them they were $15.00 each. Also come in two
varieties, riveted and welded.

The local Pick and Pull yards have a website where you can check their
vehicle inventory. Doesn't mean the parts you want are still there but can
save you a wasted trip.

Mary and I drove ninety miles to find out that they had the wrong hub bore.
They were from a '92 C3500 dually, but the hub bore was the larger (4-3/4?)
size. Bummer....

guys, it took me about t months, but I got all but one of my wheels used off of craigslist locally. If you keep at it, and live in a large metro area, you can get alum alcoas or eagles for about $25 per wheel.

Really worth it.

What keywords do you use to search for? Were they rims that were from a gmc motorhome? or what other vehicles would I search for?

Jim,

I am going to correct my applications list.

I live in Michigan (where fender solvent is liberally applied to all the roads all winter (Sept - May). What shows up in scrap yards that is over twenty years old is there because it finally failed due to structural corrosion (it fell the F-apart).

Very few of the yards around here can/will tell you what they have on the lot over the phone. One even charges you a buck to go out in their yard and look around (I don't go there often).

Given the condition of the ones recently acquired, I may just give up looking in this region.

Matt
