I don't know about Nationwide. It seems like every time I start to use a
good one, they get pulled down.

I have been using www.statewidelist.com to search an entire state. It's been
working well for quite some time.

Don't forget that a simple Google search can turn up hits all over the
country. Some of their sources are cached however and some listings may be
old. I just tried a Google search "craigslist GMC for sale" and got ten
pages of listings in return.

Good luck,

Guy

Use Google advanced search. On Google, click on the gear on the top right side and select "Advanced Search". Fill in your search criteria and put craigslist.org in the "Search within a site or domain:" field. Click on the "Advanced Search" button, or press the "Enter" key on your keyboard and see what you get.

The word "classic" will exclude a lot (most) of what you are looking for. Leaving it out causes more false hits. I prefer to search through the false hits as it increases your chances of finding what you are looking for.

I use searchtempest.com. You can search nationally or set a mile
limitation. Once I get the search set the way I want it, I download the
rss feed list and import it into FeedDemon. That way new listings that
match the search show up automatically in the reader. FeedDemon has a
free version available at www.feeddemon.com - easy to use and syncs with
Google Reader.

Revisit crazedlist-

i know it's geeky but once you get used to it, it's a powerful tool.

- It only works wih Netscape / Firefox
- you have to change a referer setting in the browser

But you can set up sophisticated searches and bookmark them.

SO i have my bookmarked search for Revcons, I've selected all he places I am willing to drive to. I have family in New England so I would go further North than West.

When i run the search and i creates his Huge page of listings, then i just use the search function on the date to find the new ones.

If you really want o find ineresting hins, and put your mariage in jeopardy, seach on "no title" (in quotes)

And, it works on ALL platforms- i use Linux

Peter,

There is a body/paint shop near my office that specializes in high end and exotic cars. I happened to see an XKE there last week sometime. I'm not sure what it was in for, but I know they are familiar with the cars. The owner's name is Todd Hood, business name is Hoods Etc. (cute, huh?), and here is his website:

http://hoodsetc.com/

There is a "contact us" button and you might have some luck with an inside connection on finding parts. Mention my name (Carl Stouffer) and see if Todd can, at least, point you in the right direction.

Have a look at this. Maybe you could contact some sellers and ask if they know of the part you need.
Victoria, BC is very English and there are lots of Limey cars.
