I recently found that one pin was missing from my Ragusa aluminum side step (12 year old step). I emailed Ragusa to see if I could buy one. I received an email back the same day letting me know that they would be happen to send me a pin free. In fact they sent me two pins free. Just thought I would let everyone know about their great customer service. Great customer service is something you don’t hear much about these day. Seems most of the time to be a thing of the past.

Yea Gary, that is another one of those expensive items that we buy once and we are done with it. They also sent me a pin a couple of years back. We get what we pay for, most of the time.

Gary,
We stock the pins here also and would sent you one n/c.
There is something wrong with the size of the hole.
I hear Rockwell's people will be coming out with a step this Winter
that will be more improved.

My beloved PO installed a lot of RAGUSA stuff on my coach. I'm glad to hear that their customer service is right up there with Jim K and Fantastic Fan.

I've been meaning to buy either a 2, or 3-battery tray for the front of the coach but have just had better things to spend my money on. I shouldn't hesitate to buy RAGUSA.

FWIW the PO installed the license plate step, bumper pad platforms, transmission oil pan, and entry step. I've bought the interior door pull handle and the Onan starter bracket.

I like most of their stuff and have it all over our coach. Jim K sells for them at same price as they have. Larry, the 3 tray battery "box" is nice to have. I bought a 2 battery box and decided I needed the three. Jim took mine back in on trade. The 3 is easy to mount and you will be glad you went with it whether or not you put all 3 batteries in it. I have the 2 battery trsy on driver's side.

Dan,

That's good to hear. I want to add a second battery to the front of the coach for the stereo and a TV, if we ever get on into the coach. The 3 battery tray would be good for storing stuff too.

Larry,

I think you need to learn more about DC house electrics before you spend money.
Multiple batteries (banks) is are a difficult and inconvenient thing to handle.
I have tried to do this for several owners (at their request and against my advice) and only one was capable of managing the system effectively.

Actually I was going to connect that third battery to the house circuit with a Yamina(?) combiner and nothing else.

Am I totally naive?

Larry, how much do you dry camp? how many nights in a row without moving?
I have 4 6 volts and can run everything that we run when plugged into ac, except the air conditioner. We run the vacuum and hair dryer with no problems, also a 700 watt microwave.I find the 4 6volts easy to maintain. All it takes is keeping an eye on the water levels. The Yandina combiner is what I use also.

Larry,

I bought a Ragusa three battery tray for Double Trouble but didn't like the way the battery locating strips arranged the batteries
so I cut them off. I left the ones that are around the perimeter.

I apologize but I didn't take any pictures.

I installed a 12vdc deep cycle battery from Wal-Mart at the back facing left to right. I installed a 12vdc start battery up against
the right side. The PO had left a plastic battery box and I put it next to the starting battery. I put engine oil, trans fluid,
brake fluid, etc in that box. Works great!

Oh yeah, if you decide to go the plastic battery box route don't forget to drill some drain holes in the bottom! Guess you can
figure out why I'm mentioning that!

Regards,
Rob M.

Since we don't have a toad yet, unless we rent a car, we drive the coach almost every day we are in it. Now that we have the two 6 volt golf cart batteries in the back I have very little reason to add another battery, except that it's the big 12v battery that used to be the house battery. I bought it from Tom Hampton, and we drew it down twice camping at the coast in winter. The furnace must have drawn it down. Now the two golf cart batteries have more capacity than we'll ever need.

So of course I need more.

It's not practical, but then having a motorhome isn't too practical, is it!

I've got it, so I want to use it. I thought putting in the hole in front and wiring it to the stereo and a small inverter would be just the ticket. I would wire the Yandina to the house post on the isolator. Too much isn't enough, and overkill isn't for sissies.
