Pictures would be nice.  Based on the description, she's $3000 - 3500 high.

Hi Johnny,
There are 4 pictures at the bottom of my craigslist add. Check them out please.

There is quite a GMC motorhome following. These are going for around $10K when cleaned up original parts in the Denver area. 2 Weeks ago saw a Really nice one sell for $25K, same year=1976, but had completely redone interior.

Thanks,
Becky Cool

Becky,

With all due respect for the price being asked I think it would be better if you took the ad down until you are able to post some
nice pictures of a (semi) roadworthy coach.

It's been sitting for SEVEN years and I can assure you that it is extremely optimistic to state "Only minor maintenance needed now:"

You state: "Engine is Toronado 455 V-8 gas engine in great shape and runs beautifully." Yet under the statement above you note:
"tune-up" - huh?

If the fuel tanks were not completely filled with gas I ga-ron-tee you they WILL be rusted. The fuel lines probably will need
replacing.

Was it winterized? If not since it's gone through seven winters I wonder how many house plumbing leaks it has?

I could go on but I'm sure you get my drift.

I do not mean to insult you in any way, shape, or form, however, I am reasonably confident that ANYONE that frequents this Forum
will KNOW what getting that coach roadworthy will entail and I would be surprised if they offered anywhere near the asking price.

Regards,
Rob M.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your suggestions and I understand your concers. I shared similar ones and interested GMCrs around here have helped me understand how well GMC motorhomes solid mechanical systems hold up so well in COLO. Listed this as someone else's opportunity for a "project" vehicle as my friend needs a quick sale. At the rediculously low $4000 price I started with I've 3 serious buyers already considering it while we work our way thru the system.

Prior to being parked in covered storage after a trip to WY in 2004, this motorhome was kept in meticulous shape both mechanically and physically. Last week's tune up efforts and system checkouts results bear that out: Its running and driving fine now, but not what I'd call roadworthy until it gets new tires all around. Please check out my updated listing on Craigslist, Denver:

http://denver.craigslist.org/rvs/2563710461.html

• Installed NEW Engine compartment batteries & charging system working fine
• Engine is running & strong
• Rear suspension system works great
• Transmission working fine & Drove it little.
• Re-parked it so I can get clear access on all sides.

NEXT UP: This week the side window ships and I’ll wash/clean it and finish more system checkouts.

The price has increased to reflect the current investment of parts and labor. This is still the best deal on a classic GMC motorhome in the Denver area since there are only 3 others showing up in COLO on Craigslist:

$7,000 1974 GMC Canyonlands (Henderson)
$13,500 1977 GMC Royale (Bennett)
$18,500 1977 GMC Eleganza (Dillon)

Let me know if you've any other questions or suggestions. All input is appreciated.
Thank you,
Becky

Becky,

Glad you took my suggestions in the spirit they were meant.

One additional point, the listing prices are good information but somewhat irrelevant; it's the selling price that's important!

How's that for demonstrating an acute grasp on the obvious! ;-)

Regards,
Rob M.
