I am disassembling a ladder and rail from my 1973 GMC, the ladder steps are
assembled using roll pin or fittings that are punched into the step through
the ladder tubing. How do I remove the roll pin, there are no holes on the
back side of the step so I can't keep pushing them through. Any suggestions
on this? They are spring steel so drilling will not work.
Also is there a seam in the ladder tubing hidden behind the steps on the
ladder or are the tube pieces one piece? The reason I ask this is because
some of the braces that attach the ladder to the coach back or roof will not
come off since they will not slip around the bend in the tubing, makes me
think there must be a hidden joint where these can slip off.

Thanks for any help
