An hour or so ago I got an email from Mary Mondello. It prompted me to call
her for permission to forward it to all of you. I've edited it slightly:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello my GMC Friends!
We need someone to help us get set up to do the R&R here.
The person that was supposed to do it has turned out to be quite the
procrastinator and we need to get Mr. WXYZ's coach rolling Yesterday!
Do you know anyone that would be willing to come here or tell us in detail
what has to be built, purchased, or whatever to have an R&R station on our
property or get it on one of the local RV shops property? (One that is
reliable, that is!)
Thanks for your time,
Mary
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a little background:

When Joe passed away he had at least one GMC at his shop for engine R&R&R
(Remove & Rebuild & Reinstall) -- perhaps more. After things settled down a
little and Mary decided to continue to operate the business, she put me in
touch with one of her mechanics. I talked him through engine installation
and put them in touch with Bob Burkitt for gantry loan or plans. I talked to
the mechanic again a time or two but heard nothing more for a month or more.

From my conversation with Mary tonight: Things have not gone well there.
She's had to let several employees go; I won't go into the gory details but
suffice it to say there was unethical conduct involved. On top of that,
other local businesses she's depended on have not kept even close to
schedules. In other words, chaos reigns, and customers are becoming irate.

Mary's got several new employees coming aboard so she thinks she'll have the
manpower to do engine R&R in-house. If not, she's planning to try to
arrange something with one of the RV dealers in the area to subcontract R&R.

What she desperately needs NOW is someone to teach her employees, or an
associate dealer, to R&R GMCMH engines. She's willing to pay expenses and
fair wages for someone to take on that task -- SOON.

I volunteered to post this here to provide the widest possible audience.

Please, someone contact Mary and help: mary at mondello dot com
This may be a good opportunity for someone with skills and a little time on
their hands to do a good GMC deed, get paid for it, make new friends, and
enjoy scenic Crossville, TN.

I'm going to try to stop by there on the way to Goshen, assuming I get the
transmission leak fixed, but I won't be able to do the training she needs.

By the way, Mary's trying to get her ducks lined up so she can drive the GMC
to Goshen.
