Netters:
My wife and I will be bringing a GMC from Boston to San Francisco next month and I would appreciate route suggestions, places to stay and eat, things to see and routes to avoid.
We both enjoy museums and historical sites, Civil War sites and national parks. I like automotive and aviation museums.
We prefer to use secondary roads and would like to avoid congestion and toll roads.
We will not have a toad so would like RV Parks or campgrounds that have easy access or public transportation to points of interest.
First leg will be to Philadelphia area ( we will bypass NYC area as we expect to get back there next spring) then down to Washington DC.
Expect to stay at Cherry Point RV Park in Maryland as suggested in another thread.
May continue south from there or may turn west toward Kentucky and Tennesee. Not sure yet. Depends on the most interesting recomendations we get.
All suggestions will be appreciated
