I think I have mentioned we have about 10 coaches here. 4 of us are parked together and the others are scattered about. Carol and Gordon James came over to visit last night. They have found a single lady from Washington here in her GMC. She is parked over in the forest of the big boxes. Carol told her about Goshen so she is filling out her application to attend. We have not met all of the GMCers here yet but we are working on it. Alex and Ramona Sirum are here and we have visited with them. They are heading to Massachusetts from here and may not be at Goshen. Had a yankee friend from Minnesota stop by yesterday for a visit. We met at the Vdub rally in June down in Effingham. He is hoping to attend Goshen, has no GMC, but will come with our mutual friend, Jon. It is so interesting the friends we make because of the old GMC. They are countless at this point. Numbers have stopped by to visit and talk about the 4 GMC coaches parked here. A Roadtrek guy told us yesterday that he would vote our coach the best looking one out of everything here. Of course Teri and I were flattered. I did not tell him about the fire hole I still have covered and not repaird from 08. Getting to attend the FMCA gathering here has been a real treat for us. They are extremly accomodating. Teri had a good one on one visit with the new director yesterday and was impressed with his knowlege and concern about the GMC group. We sat with Joan and Gene Dotson during the long drawn out meeting Wednesday. It was our second meeting but this one was much more intense than last year's in Redmond.
Anyway, just wanted you to know life is good up here in the north country.
Dan

Thanks Rob. You are correct but you forgot one thing. I got lots of friends. Way more important than money.

Dan,

If you invited the single lady to Goshen, why didn't you invite her to
Milan for the ES rally? I know, you weren't thinking.

Byron

I have not heard a lot of good comments about FMCA in the past. I must say that I have been surprised at how they have accomodated so many folks. Handicapped? I think a guy in a hospital bed could get around this place. Way beyond my expectations. There are electric chairs all over this place for those who can't easily walk. If you like bicycles, the city furnishes them, free of charge. You pick one up, and leave it at your destination. Grab another on your way back. Trails everywhere. FMCA has put showers in handy spots for those who don't shower in their coach. We are parked 5 miles from the activities, with 1000 plus other coaches, and the 45 foot buses run all day, every 5 minutes. This has been an eye opening experience for Teri and me. While not our first convention it is the first one that we have attended with the GMC. With us being parked beside one of the showers we get a chance to talk with lots of onlookers.
See you in Goshen, and Milan.
Dan
